The Story So Far

For thirty eight years now, I have poured my love into preparing and serving food. I knew exactly what I wanted to do as a career the minute I finished school, and attended college and then the hot and challenging underground kitchens of the Dorchester Hotel, and various well healed establishments in London, before realising that the brigade kitchens of the 1980’s were not for me.


I quickly realised I wanted to work for myself, and moved into film location catering. Along with some help from mum & dad, this allowed me to open up a very busy and successful sandwich bar and catering business. Over the next thirteen years, I worked as a freelance event organiser, chef, and food stylist for film, TV and publications, and now, I gather the best people together to create wonderful events, and fabulous food.


‘The Flying Ducks’ was set up eight years ago, originally, purely concentrating on the immerging ‘street food’ scene, I converted the very first vintage caravan into a full working kitchen. Spotted by the producers of ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’, another 1967 vintage caravan was converted, and appeared on the very first TV series.


Now , with all the experience and skills I have gathered over the years, The Flying Ducks catering company can offer, not just catering, but a diverse and exciting service, tailored to the individual clients needs and expectations, whilst always offering a personal and approachable ethos.
